In reply to: Author unable to edit mediaThanks Tasko. I’ve downloaded the plug-in but I still can’t seem to allow users to edit media. The only “capability” I can find is [edit_files] but that doesn’t seem to work. Do you have experience of the plugin?

And if you go to the bottom and find the search tool, search for threads about adding to gallery from media library and I end up back here. Or another very similar thread in a very similar forum giving very similar (mostly inconclusive) answers.

I’m not a coder either but it seems to me to be a fairly straightforward thing to fix. I’ve hunted and hunted and just keep finding myself being pointed back to NextGen. I’m a sculptor and regularly need to add new works of art to my existing galleries, but I keep having to add duplicate images to apear in different galleries on different pages. I’m quite happy with how Nextgen works but I now can’t create new NextGen galleries from the (hundreds of!) pics already in my media library. It’s most vexing!!
