@maybellyne My client chose to manually re-enter all category titles and description fields to make sure the issue is resolved, therefore I need no further assistance, thanks.
The requested info in case you guys do wanna leave tips for others that run into the same info.
By frontend, do you mean if I checked the page source, the title and description is correct?
Correct, when I inspected the page source had the correct title and description that was set before the migration, however the backend fields for these categories didn’t show this value, it simply showed the default tags as set in the YoastSEO settings.
Does this happen when something is filled into the SEO title and meta description fields, or just happen when the product/category is saved without touching the fields
This happened without touching the fields, however the fields showed the default values ( as set in the YoastSEO settings), after the save these settings would be outputted in the frontend page source ( causing the exisiting values to be overwritten ).
Resetting empties the table while re-running the SEO data optimization in WordPress > Yoast SEO > Tools. Did you re-run it?
Yes I reran it and this caused the default set values to be used instead of our set values.
You can close this ticket, thanks for the fast response, sorry I wasn’t able to reply before my client resolved it manually.
