Also try deactivating other non required plugins to see if it still happens. Then activate one at a time..
There are known issues where some plugin do have a affect on this
This is a conman error with a lot of plugins etc etc, not just PMPro
To start with, have you researched some answers in Google?
Fantastic
I am glad you got it solvedThanks for letting us know
Just to add about the Child Theme for you and others..
A Child Theme is basically another theme that has ( at for) 3 or 4 files in it. It then references back to the main theme to pull all the details etc from it..
If you ever have to do any modifications to the main theme, you would generally to them in the child theme so that when the Main theme was updated, you would not loose those changes by over writing them by updating the main theme.A child theme is a theme that inherits the functionality and styling of another theme, called the parent theme. Child themes are the recommended way of modifying an existing theme.
Many themes now have an area where you can do some CSS Custom coding, however there are still those that dont so a child theme is important in that instance.
Oh ok so your site was hacked…
when I site is hacked there are many things that can be done. and not all scans will find it..Permalinks – go to Settings and then click on Permalinks. More than likely the setting will be against Post Name.
click one of the other settings and Save.
then choose Post Name again and click Saveif this doesnt help I would be loading files back over the site from the backup.. using FTP
Start with WP core files only.. Then theme etc ( hoping that no files changes have been done by you in the main files..)
( you should always have a child theme set up if you are going to change file code)I guess I have to ask the obvious, but did you have a backup?
I dont think there were any auto updates of wordpress last night ( our time, Yes am in Brisbane myself) either.
I cant see why TML would cause it…But then sometimes strange things happen..
Do you have any security plugins running..
Can you resave permalinks again.. “Sometimes” with WP saving permalinks does help but depends on the problem..Sorry clutching at straws for you here but just going thru possible problems.
So trace back, what have to done to change it from “yesterday” and today when you made it live.
if you change it back to not live, does it work?
Unfortunately there is not enough info above to help you,
can you please explain more of what the difference was between then and now.If your whole site not accessible now.. so when they come to your site it doesn’t show or is it only certain parts not accessible..
thanks for posting. Hopefully someone will be able to use it sometime.
if you go to Memberships and Email Settings, you can set the emailaddress you want the email to be sent from in there.
Hope this helps
in my setup members NEVER get to see any of the dashboard. I am guessing this is what you want to happen on your site.
in MyThemeLogin I have 2 settings in the General tab ticked.
they are Enable Custom Redirection and Enable Custom User Links. In the Redirection tab I have admin set to ‘Login’ default and Logout I have the 3rd option set to my website domain name
all the other levels are set to the 3rd option of Login http://YorDomain.com/membership-levels/
Then I have another plugin called ‘Hide Admin Bar From Non-admins’ which does as it suggests. hide the admin bar for non-admins only.
Does this help??
I will let you in to a little secret..
This plugin is Free. Yes the plugin that you download here is free and it is the Full plugin..
What you pay for ( and we would love you to buy into this) is full support and addons that will enhance your Membership site.So download it, try it and I am sure you will find it will do everything and more.
Let us know how you do.
It should be as PMPro is for the member to login with and DM is to lock your files..
There are was to lock down your pages and files, see here
http://www.paidmembershipspro.com/2013/09/locking-non-wordpress-files-folders-paid-memberships-pro/
but you would need to be a paid member to view the whole process. You will find you can use a lot of 3rd party plugins while using PMPro without any probems.
This error can be caused by a variety of issues but is most likely caused by a corrupt .htaccess file. Check to see if there is an .htaccess file in the directory where the error is being generated or any directory above in the tree. If so, temporarily rename the .htaccess file and refresh the page. If the error does not reappear, the .htaccess file is the issue. If the error still happens then rename the file and save permalinks again within WP.
See if this helps. If not do a search in Google for many reasons why this can happen.
If all is solved can you please mark this problem as [resolved]
Thanks
you can remove the [pmpro_levels] shortcode from your page and put whatever content you want. Then you can link to another page that have the pricing for your levels.
On the other page, just be sure that you are building the checkout URLs correctly (usually something like /membership-account/membership-checkout/?level=1) or you can use the checkout_button shortcode, so like [checkout_button level=”3″]
Give this a try and see how you go
are you using a separate login plugin for this.
A lot of people use Theme My Login
https://wordpress.org/plugins/theme-my-login/Have you looked at the Advanced Settings, Set this to No
However if you are using this you would have had to use a 3rd party pluginDid you get this fixed? I see your site is up again..
Can you Let us know how you went and what you did to get it sorted..
Others could benefit later..thanks
