You are correct about the hacking. It is devastating. I think it is an .htaccess file redirect or iframe script that was put into the htaccess file. We corrected it every day but it came back every day until the site was banned by Goggle yesterday.
My web hosting company assures me that the site and its pages are now malware free, but the site may have vulnerabilities which could have been a result of outdated plugins or the theme. They recommended that I update all plug ins in an effort try to ensure that any corrections to the plugin might address malware vulnerabilities in the plugins.
So I updated all of my plugins, including Meteor Slides. All worked seamlessly except Meteor Slides, which had the issues mentioned in my first post.
I have been working on this all day, and at this point have restored the site to where it was working before, and have cleaned out the .htaccress file. I would like to update the Meteor Slides plugin to enure that it is as up to date as possible.
So, the remaining questions at this point are:
1. Should I update to version 1.5. It indicates that it is only valid up to WP version 3.3.2. I am now at WP version 3.4.1 verison. If so, how do I fix the incompatibility with WP 3.4.1
2. Are you aware of any hacking vulnerabilities in Meteor Slides that might have contributed to the hacking, and if so, is there any solution to lock out hackers from exploiting Meteor Slides.
Thanks much for your help.
