  • Ok thank you. I will read up on the links you provided above.

One more question, which may seem very naive -but please remember I am a newbie!!!

By disabling the culprit plug-ins and/or re-installing WordPress core files – these are changes that are ONLY occurring to my computer, right? In other words, by making these changes – I am not at all changing anything on my website. Just updating my own computer so I am then able again to make changes to my website from the working WordPress on my computer. Can you please confirm that I understand this correctly??

    THank you!

I am having this same problem but I need more detailed instruction on how to fix this. I am not sure where the person above got the info to “rename the plugins and themes in order to deactivate them” – not sure what this means and want to be sure I am not messing up my website by updating or downloading new versions of anything.

I am very amateur at editing my website pages, but can do, and have in the past, made very small changes like change text to correct a link and so forth. I wanted to do that tonight but just got the white screen on the right with the left side menu panel.

Anyway, can anyone please provide me very detailed info on how to fix this, or tell me where to read detailed instruction??

    Thank you!!
