Regarding Draft orders I had 2 questions.
- Can I disable the stock hold for Draft orders somehow? (code snippet etc.) Draft orders themselves are useful, but I would prefer not to hold the stock.
- Do Draft orders staying around possibly hold stock? I think the default time is 1-2 days to remove Draft orders from the system via the cron event. And you said it’s supposed to be around 10 minutes hold. But is it possible it is longer than that due to a conflict or glitch?

You mentioned a fix being worked on for this which is encouraging – do you know if this would be a “patch and done” solution or I would still have to export/import my data again so it works correctly? I can wait and see no issue.
I also have an entirely separate issue with Taxes, which again I’m unclear if its the Tax module or the Analytics module – but whenever I make an admin order in woocommerce (common, my store takes a lot of phone and custom orders) it ascribes tax to it automatically. Not on the invoice/order itself, but in the admin backend. This balloons my tax report by a significant amount with incorrect tax data. I finally figured out I should change my admin user address to simply be out of state (I only collect in one state) and maybe that would fix it, but doesn’t help all my previously created orders that are incorrectly flagged as having tax on them. Thoughts?

in line 65 of DraftOrders.php (woocommerce/src/Blocks/Domain/Services/DraftOrders.php) I have been changing the “as_schedule_recurring_action” strtotime to not be 24 hours. I want my draft orders to last longer – in this case 1 month. So in the strtotime I set it to “( ‘+1 month’ )”
This is the whole function (default, unchanged):

But I am needing to directly modify the WooCommerce plugin itself. A child theme does not help with this. Code Snippets may or may not help. In my case I am making direct modifications to some WooCom files. Maybe CodeSnippet plugin can help me save them, but likely has to be custom/rewritten code.

I did go to Slack also, no luck so far, but I posted there. You mention the custom code will only affect future versions of the process. I have tried both cancelling the process, manually running it, and just letting it run itself over 24hrs, but no changes via any code. It simply keeps on deleting things. What I really don’t understand is that it does this even when I comment out EVERYTHING about draft removal in DraftOrders.php file direclty. This makes me think its a cache issue, but as mentioned, any other change I make functions immediately. So it’s just super weird.

How would I know it takes effect? Would I have to let the regular 24hr function fire off once? If I cancel the pending process in Scheduled Actions it simply resets to 24hrs. Thank you!

I did have shipping and tax module enabled, but only for a single state and none of the problem orders were from that state. All the same I’ve disabled shipping and tax for now and setup a manual tax instead.

Is there some way to disable the matching? I don’t really need it. Is that perhaps in the settings of WooCom for “Shipping Location(s)” ? I currently have it set to “Ship to all countries you sell to.” But there is also “Ship to all countries” I wonder if that would disable it.
Re: Payment gateways, I offer WooPay & PayPal & Check payments. Default is woopay though.
