Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Header Image – Alt TagThanks for your reply. Please forgive my ignorance on this, it’s probably an obvious answer. But this is simple enough to add in with my html coding on my site, but for the blog, I just uploaded the header image. I don’t know where to enter the “alt” code within the coding for the blog. I hope this makes sense. I’m new at this, and unable to locate where I would insert the tag for the image within the blog coding. Any follow up is greatly appreciated. And sorry if this is a foolish question.
Vinnie.

In reply to: Adding pagesHello,
Shouldn’t there be a built in link that automatically directs the user back to the blog home page? There was an “About” page placed there, but how can I place a link a general link to return to the home page when visitors go to the other sections?
Thanks,
Vinnie.

In reply to: How do you change the headers on your themes?Hi, based on this topic, does anyone know how to remove the header altogether and leave it blank so it fits properly in your own site design?
Here’s a sample page from my site, I folded in the blog page through an IFrame, but I can’t figure out how to remove that intrusive big blue header: http://www.vinniesworld.com/blog.htm
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. It’s been difficult to figure this out.
Thanks, Vinnie.
Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Custom Header ImageHi, I wrote about a similar issue I had earlier, but I have no prayer of finding it in the forum at this point. I simply wanted to remove the default theme and that intrusive big blue header and just leave it blank. I’ve already got the blog placed within my web page through an IFrame. But I’m not sure how to get rid of the header. Is it just as simple as removing the header code as described above? Actually, that may not be a simple task the way this is set up.
Can anyone speak on this?
Also of importance, I did not actually download the WordPress blog directly from the site, but rather through my web host who provided it as open source. So this may cause some conflict with being able to change the coding. I’m new at this so not sure.
Thanks for the assistance.
Vinnie.
