And by the way – could someone please ‘unresolve’ this thread? It’s a pretty big topic and the ‘Guide to abide to German laws’ was obviously written before this new situation emerged. I guess there will be more and more people from the EU asking about this in the coming weeks/months.
Thanks for the reply, CarolWP. I already read the page you posted before I started this thread.
However, I refered to the recent ‘Safe Harbour’ verdict by the European Court of Justice (should have mentioned it directly). From February on it will be illegal for EU companies/organizations to have their data hosted on servers that are located in countries with (in regards EU laws) insufficient data privacy regulations, for example the USA.
That’s why I asked where the MailPoet servers are located.
