In reply to: Creating visible link for locked pageI have seen this solution, espacially on sites that have an old site and are working on a new site. For example, http://www.example.com is the old site, but if you go to http://www.example.com/w/ you visit the new site in full.

I am using a plugin which makes my full site not open when people visit my URL, instead they come to a page that says “Site coming soon”, because my site is not fully finished.
I would like some people to be able to enter my page without a password. Therefor i woould like to create a link, for example http://www.example.com/private/, where my full site can be accessed, without people visiting this link ending up on the coming soon-page.

In reply to: Need a type of "recent posts" on my websiteThanks for the answer again, I’ve been researching and found that i will go for the option to try to create a custom widget area and use a plugin to get it looking like that. Is there anyway to find out what plugin they have been using in my example from my first post? I really like the fact that more text shows while hovering over the links.

I am not very confident, been changing the .php files a bit but not too much.
The thing is, I already have a homepage and just want to add this feature. The homepage is not using the standard template. Do i really need to change the whole template just to add this feature?
