In reply to: [SSL Insecure Content Fixer] 403 Forbidden error with woocommerce downloadsHi Tami73,
You are awesome! Thanks for sharing this fix. It has worked for me too. I have been trying to fix my error for months! Well done you!Hi Rogier,
thanks for your response here are the answers to your questions
1. Do you have hotlink protection active on the server? – NO not activated2.If you load the file directly with the https link in your browser, does that also give the error, or only if you click on the link in the website? – Still get the error when pasted into the browser
3. Do you also have this issue when the redirect is disabled in settings/s1.
Am not sure which redirect you mean??? The first 2 check boxes are checked in settings:
Auto replace mixed content – Checked
Enable wordpress 301 redirection to SSL – Checked
All remaining boxes unchecked.Thanks
Hi Rogier Lankhorst,
I have the same issue as described by Caleb above on my site. After Activating the Really Simple SSL plugin which inserted the new code in the .htacess file, all of our digital download links are returning 403.shtml errors.
Is the only way to fix this to go in and manually change the WooCommerce File URL in each Downloadable product to https://? with 170 products to go in manually to fix this is a nightmare!!!! This also means that customers existing links will no longer work.
@rogierlankhorst can you suggest a fix for this… if I have to manually put the ‘s’ onto the links it will take a day or two which is not a good solution….
would appreciate any help
Regards Vikki
