After turning off trackback pings I made this bit of code invisible:

Um, I know. That’s what the post is about. It doesn’t do that unless you’re on the actual permalink page.
Also, as I said, I’ve tried breaking spaces (br) without results.
Thanks anyway. Anyone else?
