Verotel now ignores new lines, trailing and leading spaces in the response. Can you see if your issue is still happening?

I’m afraid VAT implementation is out of the scope of our payment plugin, please ask WooCommerce to extend their feature maybe.

You should be able to use the WooCommerce feature for that:
