In reply to: [WooCommerce] 503 error on front page and errors on other pageI figured out the problem of 503 error. It’s one of the woo commerce elements-product category-that I had displayed on my front page that had this fatal error. i replaced it with a woo commerce shop category list and the site is working now. thanks for trying to help.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] 503 error on front page and errors on other pagethank you for the suggestion. I forwarded the solution to hostgator team and this is their reply:
The httpd.conf can be modified only on VPS or dedicated hosting plan which comes with root server access. I am afraid that the given solution is not suitable for your account on shared server. Furthermore, I have checked .htaccess, switched PHP versions and that didn’t fix it. Moving forward, the best thing to do is to check with the developer or the plugin vendor for the alternate solution that is suitable for the shared hosting server.
So I don’t see the solution from either party but it’s woo commerce plugin that causes the crash on my site.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] 503 error on front page and errors on other pageThanks for your reply. I spent half a day with hostgator team activating/deactivating all plugins I have, changing theme and doing settings-permalinks. nothing helped. It’s definitely woocommerce plugin causing problem.
What I noticed is that when I deactivate WooCommerce plug in, my front page loads with no error and no shop on it. When I turn it on, the page is 503 error. However some store pages work and others don’t. and sometimes no pages work… https://veronicasart.com/product/universal-heart-on-ice-oil-painting/ this is one of the products that works
my blog works: https://veronicasart.com/category/art-blog/oil-painting-techniques/ and https://veronicasart.com/category/art-blog/colored-pencil-techniques/
the problem is the store that doesn’t work on my front page with 503 error. Here https://veronicasart.com/shop/ it shows up but this product category doesn’t work: https://veronicasart.com/product-category/colored-pencil-drawings/ while others may work. the shop doesn’t load on front page with deactivated woo commerce plug in but the page itself loads.
I’m thinking if it could be caused by another plug in “Woocommerce paypal payments”? when I turn it off and on, it does work as the payment button appears and disappears. However, it was the last plugin I went to before the site crashed with 503 error yesterday morning. This plugin asks for :
“Activate PayPal fraud management. PayPal detected increased suspicious card activity in market. Please enable fraud protection in your PayPal Payment settings by enabling CAPTCHA for PayPal Payments.”
I didn’t do anything there but in reCAPTCHA v3 Settings I find this info:
v3 Site Key and v3 Secret key- these have my log in information written by default. I don’t know if it should be there or not but I have no idea how to install this captcha thing and if these v3 keys should be empty or filled in like they are now by default. I can deactivate woocommerce plugin only when I deactivate woocomerce paypal payments and vice versa.
what do you think?

In reply to: [WooCommerce] 503 error on front page and errors on other pageAlso, I contacted Hostgator support and they see nothing wrong on their end.
“I have checked Apache logs, and there are no blocks for the WooCommerce plugin on the server end. The PHP memory settings are configured correctly for the account. There aren’t any performance issues on the server that are causing errors.
I am afraid that the WooCommerce plugin is conflicting with the functionality. Our support only covers certain errors, which are usually limited to the server-side. I am afraid that we are not trained WordPress plugin developers, so we do not have the working knowledge to address this deeper.
