Thanks for your quick reply!Symposium is really a nice plugin and I wonder such a great plugin is created just by a single person.I hope it would be updated with some more features like …advanced forum moderation,handling personal message permissions based on member roles etc.

Yes!I can edit the plugin files to customize.But I am unable to find the exact files to edit the notification mails.I found some other files,but they are not related to mail notifications.That’s why I have opened this forum post for your help.Could you please tell me the exact file to edit customize the notifications we send?

I want to customize the content inside the notification mails like …
In the notification mailes related to forum posts …It would be like
<post name> started by Admin
I wanted to replace it with…
<topic name> posted by Admin
And I want to add some addtional content like Description like…
This notification is send from <mydomain.com> .You can contact the <admin> directly for any details
And in the footer I want to add …
some more content like…
You are subscribed to <mysite.com> forum posts.
<site links> ,<Support center link> ,<social network link>Thanks!

I have the same doubt.There are some plugins in the plugins repository which were released under GPL and have restrictions to keep promotional links.

All the themes are running fine .But I have a doubt
Some other themes(mistake in my last message) also comes with the similar files and plugins.The plugins would be outdated too.Can I use other plugins with similar functionality?I mean that there is a theme from storelicious.com which comes with some plugins by default .The plugins are wp-postviews and reveal-ids-for-wp-admin-25 .Can I use other plugins instead of them?

Is it ok if I changed the permissions for blogs.dir ?
BTW Could you tell me If there is any chance for trouble if I turn off Magic codes?
