I have to play with the css but it seems to work and, most important, it gives me the key element to work/play with.

The problem you may have is the SMTP (email).
You need a plugin that makes your website work with both ways (php mailer and SMTP). sometimes your server doesn’t work well with SMTP.Install one of these plugins (write SMTP in the plugin search) and then you will have a section in your left side wordpress menu. Probably you will have to set your email to PHP to make it work. Try both (PHP and SMTP)
Let us know if it works. If not, you will need the expertise of someone else though, hehe

i solved my problem and it had nothing to do with Caldera form
In my case the plugin I was using (and had worked perfect till now) is not compatible anymore with the last update of wordpress
I was using WP-Mail-SMTP. I just changed to another and it works again
