I had a similar problem, but I installed it into my /var/www/html directory. I am running apache2 on xubuntu. I have never had this problem before, I also noticed that the css files aren’t working. do you think there is a problem with permissions? this is my first time running it on ubuntu.

in your css just put that info under img. img { border: solid 1px #000; margin: 1px; }
