I’m not seeing any change in behavior.

    • I started a new site via WordPress.com Studio (WP 6.6.2, PHP 8.1)
    • Changed it’s theme to “Twenty Twenty”
    • Installed the Events Calendar plugin (6.6.4)
    • Updated the site’s “Timezone” to a city name
    • Updated the “Permalink structure” setting to “Post name”
    • Created a couple test events occurring in the future
    • Opened the Events page; it displays no events and clicking the List/Month/Day tabs doesn’t work

Could you reinstall The Events Calendar and check if it helps?

When trying to reinstall I’m getting the following error: “Installation failed: The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature”

I went ahead and re-installed via ZIP from the official plugin site and didn’t see any change in behavior.

Also try different Events template in Events > Settings > Display.

I tried this. While the layout UI changed, it still listed no events.

Besides that, I would recommend contacting your host provider (Studio by WordPress.com) and asking them if they have a caching setting.

As I understand it, WordPress.com is the official host offering from the WordPress organization. Since I’m new to WordPress, I don’t know their caching settings. But I’m surprised you don’t seem to know since it’s the official, first-party offering…?

From my own research in their docs: “If you have a lower-level plan, it is not possible or necessary to clear your site’s cache (as the cache is cleared automatically.)” I also went ahead and cleared my browser’s cache, but assuming you’re seeing the same thing I don’t think that’s particularly relevant.

Meanwhile, you can request a demo on our site to test our products:

I’ll request a demo, but if I’m not able to get this plugin working on a new/blank site from WordPress themselves, that really doesn’t bode well. At an organization level you should probably be testing against WordPress.com regularly to maintain stability.

We don’t yet fully support FSE themes, since 2020 theme is not a FSE I asked you to switch to it to figure out whether the issue is related to the theme or not.

It switched to that theme and I didn’t see any change in behavior.

For the Permalinks, select “Post name”, save the settings and navigate to the events page by clicking on Events menu on the top bar.

I updated to use that setting option and I didn’t see any change in behavior.

The events page is still empty. Studio by WordPress.com has a demo site feature, so I published it and it’s viewable if you’d like to see for yourself. It’s still using the 2020 theme.

    1. Deactivate all other plugins except for The Events Calendar Plugins.

As mentioned, this is a brand new site. No other plugins are activated.

    2. Switching to the Default theme.

Are you asking me to switch to a theme from 2015? Does Events Calendar not support modern default themes?

Besides that, switch to pretty permalinks and resave the settings in WP Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks, and check if it helps.

There is no mention of “pretty permalinks” on the page mentioned. I’ve included a screenshot below.
