In reply to: [Flexible Map] Testing… sometimes it does not workGood morning, Ross.
I may have found a solution shortly before reading your last reply with the plugin Iframe.
That plugin creates an iframe out of a shortcode included in each page. I have installed it and copied the URL supplied by Google Maps (used to embed the map on a Web page).
It worked! Now I am going to make further tests (e. g. check its compatibility with the Street View plugin I also use etc.), but it seems it should work well, at least until you are able to modify the Flexible Map plugin.
I will keep your plugin installed to check further in the future, and thank you very much once again for your kind support.
Happy 2014!
Valter.Might the link below provide a solution to allow “centre and KML” for the plugin?

Many thanks!
Many thanks again.
Is there any way or any other plugin that can do so?
Thank you for your support.
Taking the example map, can I zoom it further and define its center in different places of the city?

In reply to: [Flexible Map] Testing… sometimes it does not workWill be anxiously awaiting, Ross.
If you visit a page on my site, e. g. http://www.parquesepracasdecuritiba.com.br/parques/bosque-alemao.html, you will have a better idea of what I need. I have a large Google Map with all the markers on it, and on which page of the site I include a zoomed map, centered to the park or place to which the page refers, and all the markers from the KML file (sometimes, two KML files).
I have used the Inline Google Maps plugin, which worked very well until somewhere mid-November. Perhaps Google has changed something, the maps no longer fit and it also interferes with the other plugin I use to include Street View images.
Having no Java/PHP/code etc. knowledge, I still look for a solution for over a month now, accepting any suggestions…
Many thanks!

Valter.Thank you, BraveNewCode, for your kind reply.
I have solved the issue by defining the width of the Google Maps at 100%, instead of a given number of pixels.
The developer of the Inline Google Maps kindly indicated the URL showing how to do that: http://avi.alkalay.net/2006/11/google-maps-plugin-for-wordpress.html#attributes. I followed the instructions, and it worked.

In reply to: Sidebar not working on IE8 – one more!Hi, I solved it! If you are facing the same problem, this is how I did:
My theme already had a specific style.css file for Internet Explorer and the corresponding conditionals, named style_ie.css. I copied the “normal” style.css file into style_ie. Then I experimented with width, by trial and error, until I found the correct figures.

In reply to: Sidebar not working on IE8 – one more! Thanks, alchymyth, I have been going through validation. Unfortunately, I am not familiar with it and do not know if I will succeed. But I will continue trying and any further advice on validation and errors would be truly welcome.
One more information I just found out: I have blank pages (with no text added yet) which also take the right sidebar to the bottom by IE. An example is http://www.parquesepracasdecuritiba.com.br/wordpress/pracas/praca-tiradentes.html. So it is not a problem with page/post content.
Perhaps I should add something to my style_ie.css file?
I would ask if anyone has other ideas which may help? Thank you very much in advance.

In reply to: Permalinks – two installationsThanks…
I understand the multisite installation instructions in the link “Create a Network” refers to the creation of a site from scratch.
As stated, I already have a static site running, which I must keep online. So I would need to create the WordPress sites in different folders, and then transfer them to a multisite installation in the root directory.
If I use the instructions at http://codex.wordpress.org/Migrating_Multiple_Blogs_into_WordPress_3.0_Multisite will it function accordingly? Will permalinks work? Thanks again…

In reply to: Permalinks – two installationsSorry for the insistence, but I have researched a bit more and would like to know if this procedure could work:
1. I make one installation on the /wordpress directory and another one on a /onibus directory. Thus, they are separate folder in the same domain name.
2. Since it seems to be very complicated to move a multisite installation from one directory to another, when all the content of my static site is included, I change the installation on the /wordpress directory to the root directory.
3. I then turn the root directory installation into multisite.
4. I include the /onibus installation in the multisite (I have not yet found how to do that, is that possible?).
5. In this case, if I understood correctly, there would be the inclusion of /blog in permalinks, but there are ways to exclude it (even a plugin, I think).
Under this procedure, would the permalinks work correctly?
Sorry it this is all nonsense, but it would be very good if all this works… Thank you once again for your patience.

In reply to: Permalinks – two installationsThanks again, Jonas. What if I use multisite?

In reply to: Permalinks – two installationsThank you very much, Jonas. What do you mean? Something like http://www.onibus.parquesepracasdecuritiba.com.br? If so, how I can I do that? (I forgot to mention my lack of skills in my previous message, sorry…)
Thanks.
