Hi Miroslav, thanks for your input. I have two WordPress installations because one is the old website (the one in the main domain) and one is the new website under construction (the one in the subdomain).
What you suggest is what I intend to do once the website is done. My question was if there is any kind of negative impact on doing so, compared to the hassle of migrating to the main domain?

Hey stubgo, thank you for your input I appreciate that.
I got figured out by a colleague that the problem was with the CherryFramework of the theme that was bought.
He had to make a WordPress fresh install, then import all the posts/pages/plugins etc.
Everything works now. Thank you.
