I just realised that one cannot create google news sitemap separately, one also needs to create sitemap.xml and then the google news sitemap is created.
The problem I am now getting is that the google news sitemap shows no news items in last 2 days (“post_google_news.xml does not have any item”). I’ve tried to increase it to 4 days but I’m getting the same message. This is despite the fact that we are a news site and are posting about 40 news articles daily.
Kindly let me know a solution or possible mistake I might be doing.
