Why does WordPress have to get more and more impossible for the average person to use? I’ve been using WP since it’s early days but you have to be full fledged programmer anymore to do things which used to be straightforward and simple. Sorry for venting my frustration. 🙁

I got this to work by luck. I went into the Gallery Settings and made sure each “template” box was blank. Then I went in and used the “attach to post” option to add the album to the page. You also have to make sure the “template” box is clear here as well. If you select a template in any of the places the code breaks and gives the “Not A Valid Template” error.
Getting a “not a valid template” on album attach to post code using both extended and compact. I’ve tried various settings and can’t get it to work.
Did you ever find a solution to this? I’m having the same issue.

In reply to: [Simple Shopping Cart] Nextgen Gallery ErrorYeah, I just realized the theme change didn’t help me either. The problem is when I insert a Nextgen image with the shopping cart into a blog post. Because the blog isn’t using the wp-eStore template the error occurs. I don’t know how to make the blog use that template, so the error persists. One work around is to insert the thumbnail into blog posts, not the single pic.
I’d still like to solve this problem though, as my singlepic is set up to be sized correctly for blog display. Thumbnails have to maintain a smaller size to work in galleries.

In reply to: [Simple Shopping Cart] Nextgen Gallery ErrorNo I didn’t solve it exactly. I switched my template. I was using Photocrati. I’m using the Papercore now and don’t have the same problems with it, so it was most likely a Photocrati problem.
I would like to know this as well.
I’m having a similar problem. I just installed WP SPSC with an existing install of NextGen gallery and have that same coding problem when I use one of the image for a blog post. I’ve been searching for a solution but can’t find anything. Can anyone help?
