Hello @wbcomdesign,

It seemed there were 2 ht.acces files.
This because there was a theme wich was build in the background.
After going live with it the ht.acces file was copied to the main wordpress file and the original file was not deleted.
After installing a cache plugin it was putting files in the wrong ht.acces and caused problems.
After renaming the original ht.acces file so that it does not have a function anymore it all worked well again.
