Solved. The plugin in question was Ultimate Shortcodes. I’ve found the answer as to why the button was not appearing on the WP post editor at their support forum:

I use this plugin. You can hide anything from your contributors etc.

I just logged out of my WP account and logged back in again and its working fine now. Impatient I guess lol.

I just installed too and when I click the ‘end tour’ button nothing happens. Just keeps displaying above the wordfence panel so you cant access some of the buttons. This is a brilliant tool though!
