I haven’t advanced in recover our site from this issue, as I need before to understand why, and how it’s happen.

As, I understood, until now, this issue wasn’t absolutely an attack, neither any security issue!!

The issue is, that due to another script in the server, which was increasing the disk space, due to port scaning (We use in this server asterisk and billing system, so we’re subject to constant scaning, about 5 attacks per second, so we have a script which log all attacks try in a file, and add that attacks IPs to the firewall to block them from firewall after 3 failing). So, due to constant security intent, the HardDrive had been increased considerably up to 99%.

Due to this, the Mysql server had shutdown, or drop, or no idea, what did in this point, the innob engien, and in this case, it’s affect all over DB using the Innob, in the server we have WP, Magento, SugarCRm, and the Asterisk relatives) The asterisk DBs are in myisam, so they wasn’t affected, but WP, and Magento, immediately they was damaged, as they, apparently use innob.

The bug, for me, here, is that mysql dropped the innob engine, without any previous warring to root, neither any explication, and, there’s no way to reload again the innob, I was trying to re-install mysql, but no way to reload innob, no idea why.

The issue, as far as I can understand, was caused from mysql, but, if mysql turn off the innob, why this affected critical the essence of wp db, or, I’m planing to re-install the whole server, to check where it was exactly the fail.
An issue, before to be solved, need to be explained, understood, to map the proper solutions… please advice, if any of you had such as experience!

No at all, our back cron delete the previous backup each 12 hours, and as i haven’t detected the fail exactly, when it was, the backup was replaced by the bad database… 🙁

I’d update my issue…
I don’t think, as I’m not expert in wordpress, and I couldn’t find the log, I don’t think this what’s happen is due to the script, within, I have started this thread, as the site was working until 2 days agoo.

But, what’s happen exactly, is that some one had run some script which affect the configuration of the categories in my site, deactivate the categories in all context (Pages, Posts, Boxes, Features…etc), and with this manner, all contain become without associated categories, and the front end is not showing any contain, as no associated category.

Please, advice!!

Hello guys,
I had to come back, as I just discovered another effects and damages caused by this script which I did.
1. In Posts, i found that the tages was completely unlinked from posts, so all over my existing posts become without tags, the tags are there, in the tags section, but are not associated any more to posts. Also, posts are not associated any more to categories… all the catalogues appear to be damaged…
2. In Pages, when i go in the admin side, i get no any page created, it’s showing that I have 11 pages in english, 12 in spanish, for example, but the result is empty, i have to select to show all pages, to get populated the list. In the front end, the site is empty, and not populating any page neither post.

I had to repair, analyse, and run several optimise queries, into the DB, but no result.

I had deactivate the security plugins which I installed, bad queries, and the secure wordpress… but no effect, neither any change…

All over my installation was damaged, data are there, but i have to re-structure all over the WP contain data after this security testing…

Advice, please!!
