  • Personally, I would be reluctant to use WordPress to build an eLearning marketplace like Learnege. Don’t get me wrong, I’m well aware that WordPress is budget-friendly, easy to set-up solution and it amazingly slashes the delivery time to launch a website. But all these benefits make sense when you’re merely testing the waters, in other words, building an MVP to validate your business concept. However, if your business concept is validated and long term goals highlight the emphasis on scalability, performance, security and upgradation then WordPress would certainly not fit the billing.

I’ve looked at the solution – Yo!Coach that you referenced in your OP and it’s impressed me from the outset. It’s fully customizable, with lifetime ownership and is completely white-label. Yet, the best part about it is that it’s tailor-made for tutor marketplace. That suggests that the solution has already taken care of the UI/UX related aspects for you that visitors on eLearning websites come to expect. For what it’s worth, the solution has also been used to build a number of language learning and business consultation website. I assume, their team offers reliable technical support should you get into trouble tinkering with the settings.

To conclude, I’d simply state that match your website requirements with this solution. If it ticks all the boxes clear, then you could justify the cost of development in the long-run.
