In reply to: [My Calendar - Accessible Event Manager] Events not ExpiringJoe, when the event date passes, I think a lot of us want the event info to remain on the calendar so people can access that information. I do not want a calendar that washes out previous date events and leaves the past dates blank. My clients want to see a track record, and your calendar eliminate that, it seems. When I tried archive in 251, it failed to close the past event popups. Nothing closed them. I had to delete them by rolling back to 250

In reply to: [MailPoet Newsletters (Previous)] Newsletters stopped sendingUpdate – when I chenged the confirmation to “No Confirmation required”, then everything works as expected. So the problem, which just cropped up sometime yesterday AM, seems connected to the confirmation feature.
Running Debugger:
WYSIJA POSSIBLE 3rd PARTY CONFLICTS—but this theme has run unchanged for a year in harmony with MPoet.
The only software modifications I made yesterday which possibly could have made some change to MPoet is Advanced iFrame (which works ratther nicely), but I deactivated it yesterday, too. I will uninstall it and try again with the Confirmation activated…
Deleting Advanced iFrame seems to have worked. I also deleted Captain Favicon, an ico plugin which has been intermittent for quite a while.

In reply to: [Kocuj Sitemap] Cannot Delete Kocuj PluginThank you for makiong the necessary edits, Dominik. The deletion was instant and successful. I liked using your plugin, but later decided to present my information a different way and deleted several plugins. I tend to run too many.
Thank you.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] 0.9.5 fail -> Replace it with 0.9.4.1Thank you, webrockers. 9.5 broke my homepage slider. Its a jquery feature built into WP theme 2014. Am running 4.6.1.
Before updating to the destructive 9.5 update, I backed up my settings. Deleting 9.5 and uploading the 9.4.1 zip eliminated my known issue. I uploaded my saved settings and am safely back to .9.4.1. I do notice that most reviewers of 9.5 rate it “broken”. Most as in 10/1 ratio of those who report.
Very well done plugin. When locking a single category, must I exclude ALL other categories manually, or can I simply select the single category I wish to lock and put that data in the text field of batch mode?

In reply to: [MailPoet Newsletters (Previous)] mailpoet cron not working!!Yep, it was the WP-Chron Control. I disabled it and made sure that Mailpoets timing was set to match the chron timing (every five minutes in my case) and that also enabled the feature. When I figured out that it was a mere ping that wget needed to perform, I composed a statement which works perfectly. [redacted: please do not ask people to contact you off-forum.] All you will need to change is the URL.

In reply to: [MailPoet Newsletters (Previous)] mailpoet cron not working!!Mailpoet links to a couple of Chron statements, and I also tried: wget -quiet “http://www.yourwebsite.com/wp-cron.php?xxxx…”
It failed, and reported this error:
.wget: invalid option — ‘u’
Usage: wget [OPTION]… [URL]…Try ‘wget –help’ for more options.

</html>I chimed in on github. Need to exclude logged in admins always from stats, and not counting visits/clicks/etc from a specific IP would be great. Its a small thing, but accuracy sharpens the stick.
I don’t have a dog in this fight, but my take on the Yoast response was that Yoast et al want to toss blame back onto the users for not sub’ing to beta testing. Its a classic technique whereby the victim is to blame for the incident. If the victim only participated in testing Yoasts products for them, the victim would not be a victim. So its the victims fault and responsibility is shifted from creator to user.
Taco should not have done that. Taco should have said “Yep, we test until our fingers are numb, and we hate missing things. Please tell me how we can do better.”

In reply to: [WP Colorbox] Sorry, too many failuresThank you, Jan. Good work. But I do demand an explanation from the plugin author, and if I am not satisfied with it, I am certainly going to enjoy my actions against his web presence.
He has 24 hours to reply. It is 5:09 PM Central time, 8 May. 24 hours.
Perfect, thank you.

In reply to: Add "Date Registered" in Users' Screen OptionsNo kidding. Why on earth would WP omit such a very basic function. There is an admin columns plugin that will add the user subscriber date to the admin users panel, but you cannot sort by date unless you pay them $60.
