In reply to: Frontpage loading slowDid you see if you had any messages about caching after you disabled your plugins? This same thing happened to me yesterday. I only disabled two plugins – jetpack and image optimizer. It was still slow and then I noticed a message that I was supposed to do something with the cache, which I did (just hit the button it told me to hit) and it was speeding up again an hour or two later. I’m guessing you would have noticed the caching instructions, but I didn’t for awhile so thought I’d comment just in case.

In reply to: Images not showing up! Tried everything!Do you have the Jetpack plugin on your website? I was having this same problem yesterday after the wordpress update. I deactivated the Jetpack plugin and that solved the problem.

In reply to: Subscribers aren't receiving blog posts – invalid feed?Yay, it works!! You’re BRILLIANT!!! And I’m so sorry this took so much time. You gave me the right solution right from the beginning, but I was confused by the highlighted yellow stuff in the feed validator.
I’m so grateful to you for this help though because it helped me see how to tackle the problem if it comes up again and also helped me to be more daring with changing themes and disabling plug-ins. Thank you SO MUCH for all your help!!

In reply to: Subscribers aren't receiving blog posts – invalid feed?well, that solved the problem. 🙂 You are helping me so much to take the mystery out of all this. Also i just noticed something under the bad feed that I hadn’t noticed before where it just showed me a part of a regular sentence that was the problem (before I’d been looking at the highlighted yellow line 59). I’ll try deleting that whole segment that they list at the top of the feed validator.

“WP Super Cache Warning!
Your server is configured to show files and directories which may expose sensitive data such as login cookies to attackers in the cache directories. That has been fixed by adding a file named index.html to each directory. If you use PHP or legacy caching consider moving the location of the cache directory on the Advanced Settings page.
If you just installed WP Super Cache for the first time you can dismiss this message. Otherwise you should probably refresh the login cookies of all logged in WordPress users here by clicking the logout link below.
The logout link will log out all WordPress users on this site except you. Your authentication cookie will be updated but you will not be logged out”Should I hit the “delete cache” button?

In reply to: Subscribers aren't receiving blog posts – invalid feed?No, I tried retyping it and then taking out the apostrophes altogether and it didn’t make a difference. That’s a good idea to check with support of the podcast plugin as well.
