I came to this forum first, when the issue started, and then it mushroomed from there. 🙂 I wrote the post to help fellow blog owners and quite a few had no idea, so I’m glad I put it out there.
I wish you a speedy solution, and if I stumble over anything that might help I’ll let you know.

In reply to: Email Notifications of New Comments Not sendingI’m not sure if this will help you at all, but after I discovered that I wasn’t getting my emails properly, I did a lot of digging around and have since resolved it. There were a few things I discovered:
1. Outlook was not delivering and changing the business rules did nothing to solve it. Solution: stop using Outlook.
2. It’s important to use your own domain for your email address and–here’s the key–you must be sure it’s authenticated.
3. After setting everything up with my own domain and getting it authenticated, I started accessing my email using Gmail. I can’t even begin to tell you how many emails I started getting for the first time. I’m not getting my comment notifications anymore either … nor is a friend of mine.
(We are both on Bluehost as well, though from what I can tell in this thread, it is more to do with WordPress – PHPmailer?)

I no longer get comment notification either … and I have a client with the same issue.
(We are both on Bluehost and we both use Gmail.)
