In reply to: [Theme Sueva Premium] – Author in postsYes, I am afraid the most important issue is that the code of the free and the premium theme is considerably different…
Let me think about some solution.

Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Theme Sueva Premium] – Author in postsThat can be easily solved by adding a little bit of php code in Your theme’s code that generates the blog post header. The only problem is, since You use a premium theme, I, or the other volunteers here don’t have access to that code, but without seeing the code, it is really hard to provide You the exact solution.
This is why generally for premium themes, You should ask for help from the developers directly, because when You buy a theme, You are paying for their support too…Having said that, I will try to help You with my best knowledge. You have mentioned that You found a solution for this, but for the free version. Could You please share a link to that solution, so I could check it out?
Cheers,

In reply to: [Theme Sueva Premium] – Author in postsHello!
It depends on what kind of information would You like to share about Your authors. Did You try some of the Author plugins available?
And Could You please share a link to Your site?

In reply to: Gradual Fatal Error TakeoverHello!
Yes, 75 MB is really too much for one plugin, You should definitely look into that. Sadly I cannot recommend You any decent gallery plugins instead of NextGen Gallery 🙁
Wow, I am stunned! It IS a really small world!

In reply to: Just lost our whole site doing wp upgradeThose plugins are most likely required by the theme.
Again, You DO NOT NEED to deactivate a plugin to do an update 🙂

In reply to: Just lost our whole site doing wp upgradeOkay, Good luck 🙂
And keep me updated how it goes

In reply to: Just lost our whole site doing wp upgradeAnd what I almost forgot, You don’t need to deactivate a plugin for update, only when You don’t need it. For updating, simply click on update. WordPress will take care of the rest.

In reply to: Just lost our whole site doing wp upgradeYes. It is safer not to use bulk update.
My advice is:
- Make a backup of Your files and database before updating anyting
- Update the plugins one by one. If You open the update page in the WordPress Dashboard, there is an update link for each plugin, use that instead of the bulk update
- first update the plugins, then the theme, and lastly WordPress

In reply to: Just lost our whole site doing wp upgradeNo, that is completely unnecessary, if You update the plugins one by one, You get the same result, if a plugin update brings down the site after an update, You just have to deactivate it manually, through FTP by renaming it’s folder’s name.

In reply to: Just lost our whole site doing wp upgradeYou don’t need to deactivate a plugin or a theme to do an update. It is most likely that these plugins and the theme are dependent on each other, and the error message You were experiencing the first time, was caused because the theme is dependent to a plugin which was deactivated.
When You update a plugin, WordPress takes care of the deactivating before the update process and after the re-enabling of the plugin.
In my experience the best way to update a complex site which is Yours, is to update the plugins one by one, and after each plugin update, ensure that everything is working. When all the plugins are up to date, update the theme, and lastly WordPress itself.
For Your current situation, I recommend to enable the plugins one by one, again, checking if everything is OK after each enable, and then proceed with the update. By the way, I think in Your case it would be a really really wise decision to run some backups of Your own, and not rely solely on the web host’s backups.

In reply to: Just lost our whole site doing wp upgradeBut why did You deactivated them? To update?

In reply to: Just lost our whole site doing wp upgradeI have take a look again at Your site, if I am not mistaken, right now Your site loads with the wplms theme, so there is no need to change the theme. That was needed when Your site was showing only that nasty error message.
Right now You need to fix those elements that are not working. Are there any plugins now deactivated, that You usually use on Your site?Balint
