An update for Real WYSIWYG is no longer needed. The functionality it provided is now part of WordPress (since version 3.0) in the form of the custom CSS for the editor. See http://www.deluxeblogtips.com/2010/05/editor-style-wordpress-30.html for more details.
I would love to update it, but I have disappeared down a development hole with TIBant and BWUnit. While development of these products is going well, I’ve go no idea how much longer they will occupy my time.

Can you please try adding it to the WP theme directory again, explaining that you had no response from the author. I tried contacting him as well quite some time ago and never heard anything either.
I’ve downloaded “Simplism” and I should have an answer for you soon.
