still no luck with being able to reply.

could it be a clash with any of the discussion settings?

Hi, yes comments are enabled and use ‘use theme templates’ is also checked.

Thanks so much, I think i’m getting there now.
I can see the login page now ( I hadn’t considered i was logged in as admin.)
