@nexenbe if you’re trying to translate the legacy NGG’s .po file, then you can do it anyway (despite that message), but that translation doesn’t work in the current NGG version.
@stefano79roma Once you have installed the current version if you have problems you can open a bug report. It’s unlikely that you’ll have support on such an old version of the plugin.
the problem is sure not about the server
What makes you so sure? So, it’s not true that nothing has changed in the last 24 hours, if the message comes from your software installation as you say.
That message means that maximum time limit on server (not necessarily a web server) isn’t enough for the execution of the script. So, if on a local server it works, and it works also changing browser/pc/network connection, open a ticket with your web service provider (Aruba?) and ask for the error log.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Photo Gallery, Sliders, Proofing and Themes - NextGEN Gallery] Image title@jozefmacz you can change it filling the description field in Manage Gallery —> Gallery.
and ALL singlepics shortcodes are gone
@jesusgpastor Do you mean that single pic shortcodes have disappeared?
Can’t you see them in post editor?
My idea is that you still have shortcodes in posts editor, but maybe you can’t see single pics because you excluded them from “manage gallery”, in order not to repeat them in the gallery.
Is this the case?@stefano79roma Nextgen 2.x has no incompatibility with WordPress 3.8, and it’s unlikely that you’ll have support on such an old version of the plugin.
My suggest is: upgrade to the NGG last version, and if you have problems you can have support here or report a bug directly to the authors.
Anyway, what you see is a server related message, and it indicates a time out for the execution of the script.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Leaf] home button destination to landing page@cherrychase Open custom menu and delete that HOME tab.
Now click on the arrow near “Help” at the right top side, it opens a dropdown menu with some checkboxes, check “Link”, close.
At the left side, now you’ll see a widget called Link, write in URL the link you want to open to, write HOME in the text and then click “add to menu”, et voilà.P.S.: Disable skysa weather plugin, it gives an error.
@batharoy, cherrychase doesn’t want a static home page.
@lachelabela You can choose to display an album using the ATP button in visual editor
@jon_highland using a WordPress version this old is like keeping an open door for hackers
@apexbee The first is the NGG code and it’s correct.
The second is a Simple Paypal’s code, built around the NGG legacy shortcode, so you have to ask in that plugin’s support how it works.
Anyway, I read here that the correct example code is [nggallery id=1 template=”wp-cart”].
If you want to use the new ATP function you have to ask to the other plugin’s author if there’s a code working with the current NGG code, this is not a NGG problem.
Otherwise, you will need to use the legacy shortcodes, they are still supported by NGG.And I answered you that you can set dimensions in Gallery settings before uploading new images. Isn’t what you asked for?
Have you tried and doesn’t work?this may be the problem??
Deactivate it and you’ll have the answer, but your is a premium theme and these forums don’t support commercial products.
When you say “Post to Page” do you mean Attach to Post?
As for the 3 columns add in Nextgen custom CSS area
.ngg-gallery-thumbnail img {margin: 20px 50px;}
or
.ngg-gallery-thumbnail img {margin: 20px 50px !important;}
With regard to the issue, it seems a conflict between the two plugins. You have to test activating default WP theme and deactivating other plugins.
BTW, is there a particular reason for which you can’t use the first method?Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Leaf] home button destination to landing page@cherrychase, in menu open the Home tab and write the address http://cherrychaseneighbors.org/
If just before the changes it was working and now it’s not, the problem is in relation to those changes. If you have added some code found on the net without really knowing how and what it does and if you have modified .htaccess, then you may have done more harm than good. The solution is to remove the “improvements” and return to the previous state of things.
At the moment if you activate default WP theme and deactivate all other plugins, you can have further evidence on what it’s going on.Forum: Themes and Templates
