@shamrockoz These forums support the free plugin version.
As a Pro member you have to contact directly the support via form from your account.@danmschell,
CTRL -orCTRL 0@rhf, I’m glad if you have find the right solution for you.
Some more explanation – not for you, but for those who would be interested in:
Last night I forgot to say that after “If you don’t have the gallery linked to a page, follow the instructions at the second link in my previous post” I had to add “until the fourth point”, because this is the case of the gallery not linked to a page, so isn’t possible use the shortcode.
Also, I’m not sure that putting the name of the template in the settings will work for everyone.
At last, when a gallery is linked to a page but you prefer the use of IGW button to display it, you can create your template as you would for your child theme, put it in child theme’s folder and choosing it from the dropdown menu.@rhf, the easy and safe way is to create a template for galleries pages, I’ve tried it just for you and it works well.
This is if you have the gallery linked to a page.
Add in that template, just before the content, a thing like this:<div id="backtoalbum"> <a id="return" href="http://mysite.com/albumpage/"><?php print "<< Back to Album" ?></a> </div>The div and the ids are for assign a style with CSS if you want to, and of course you can change any terms as you want. Remember to assign the template to that page.
If you don’t have the gallery linked to a page, follow the instructions at the second link in my previous post.
Put in that template that same code, after<?php if (!defined ('ABSPATH')) die ('No direct access allowed'); ?><?php if (!empty ($gallery)) : ?>
Then in Gallery settings > basic thumbnails > template, paste the name of your template and save.@taurunium Open your own topic (as per the forum rules) reporting the test results, the ones you can read in the second post of this topic, since you say it’s the same problem.
@erodegrigo post a link to a page where the issue is visible.
@lovesujeiry OK now I see it, sorry you mentioned slideshow and gallery and I hadn’t noticed that you have an image-browser display type in that page.
You can check if it is an issue with your current theme or another plugin by temporarily switching to a default WordPress Twenty series theme and deactivating all plugins.@danmschell, Yes sorry, I see that it works (but it’s annoying and against accessibility enter through a captcha), however I don’t understand what is that “black border right and below the gallery”.
@lovesujeiry, The slideshow has no back or next buttons, but you can move forward by clicking somewhere on it. Maybe are you referring to the images when opened in the lightbox?
At the URL that you provided is not visible neither one nor the other.
To see if there is some conflict with your theme, you can activate a WordPress default theme, don’t forget to empty all caches.@danmschell, That URL is not resolving.
@andrianiannalisa A link to the gallery page would be useful, not a screenshot, and as I said above the test consists in disabling *all* plugins but NextGEN together with a WordPress theme.
@cais has simply answered your question by suggesting that those two plugins usually does not fall within a list of suspects.
And you don’t need to uninstall, just temporarily disable all plugins: a common procedure to test conflicts that also includes the activation of a default WordPress theme. When they are all disabled, re-enable them one by one, each time checking until you find the possible culprit.@ruslendingur You have the right to give how many stars you want (who said you can’t?) and you have the right to choose the plugin that suits your needs at best.
The link you posted is not valid in this non-productive discussion because it has been opened by another person, not by you. It’s someone else’s issue, you are wrong just because it’s against the support forum rules. Period.
If you have a problem with a free WordPress plugin or theme, please read THIS before open another useless topic.
