In reply to: [Trackserver] Request: Display position on top of the mapHi,
For an upcoming release of Trackserver, I have planned to implement an optional information bar on a map with a live track, displaying things like last known location (optionally with reverse geocoding), speed and altitude. I’ll probably make its contents/format customizable through a setting and/or a shortcode parameter.
Thanks for the suggestion!
Best regards,

In reply to: [Trackserver] About reporting problems with TrackserverI can’t stress this enough. Trackserver NEEDS PHP >= 5.3 to work.
Please DO NOT ASK FOR SUPPORT if you run PHP 5.2 or lower.
I mean it.

In reply to: [Trackserver] Live track and centering of last locationHi,
On the map, there are two buttons (4 if you count zoom in/out). One is for fullscreen view of the map, and the other is to pause/restart the live tracking.
If you press that button, it will stop getting track updates from the server and also stop the periodic centering, until you press it again. Is that what you were looking for?

In reply to: [Trackserver] IOS Apps and/or standard protocols?Hello Jenkisan,
Sorry for not replying any sooner. I must have missed the notification of your post.
I don’t have any IOS devices to test with, and I’m totally unfamiliar with the IOS app landscape, so I couldn’t tell you.
Basically, if an app supports online tracking via HTTP, it should be viable and not even very difficult to add support for it to Trackserver. If you have any suggestions, please let me know so I can have a look.
As for the standard protocols you mention: as far as I know, these are not HTTP-based protocols, so Trackserver, being a WordPress plugin, cannot support these by nature. If you know of any protocols that ARE HTTP based and not supported by Trackserver (GpsGate would be a nice example), feel free to let me know.

In reply to: [Trackserver] Unable to get Trackme to post to my ServerHi Tefal and others,
Please note that Trackserver needs PHP 5.3 or greater to work. I cannot change that.
Since I think the problems in this thread are mostly due to too old versions of PHP, I am going to close this thread.
If you ARE running a current version of WordPress on PHP 5.3 or greater and you still have problems, please open a new topic.

In reply to: [Trackserver] Username or password incorrectIf you did in fact enter your WordPress username and password in OruxMaps as demonstrated in the howto-image (“How to use OruxMaps MapMyTracks” in the Trackserver settings), I don’t know what to tell you.
But I am a bit confused, because as far as I know, OruxMaps doesn’t give any feedback about incorrect username or password, so, where did you see that message?
Best reagrds,
Martijn.
