Use SSL tile map

It was hard to find but you can use also a SSL version of the tile map server.
Use:
https://otile3-s.mqcdn.com/tiles/1.0.0/map/{z}/{x}/{y}.png
when you want to use the SSL version and make sure all content of your page is going via SSL (when your page is also on SSL).
