In WordPress 7.0.2, the new split meta-box layout is seriously disrupting my editing workflow. When I am at the bottom of a post and open the meta-box pane, then try to return to the post content, the editor jumps all the way back to the H1 instead of preserving my scroll position.

I frequently need to compare the bottom of the post with fields in the meta boxes, so the old continuous scrolling layout was much faster and more usable. Please either preserve the content scroll position or provide an option to disable the split layout and restore normal continuous scrolling. THIS IS NOT AN IMPROVEMENT OR UPGRADE.
