While I understand this is just for payment, the other issue I see if we were to work with a new customer and take their information over the phone, create them as a customer, then fill out their billing and shipping address when we create the order as you mentioned then there are two issues.

First issue is it’s more likely that we make a mistake enter the information. (not woo’s problem)

Second issue is when we send the order to them after creating them as a customer it asks them to login. This is a terrible flow to a purchase. I’ve never had a company send me an invoice and I had to login to an account I didn’t create to pay for it.

Like I mentioned, I see this as a gray area between what I would say is a programming issue not allowing for billing info when collecting the credit card and a user experience improvement with the flow of paying for the order.

***I think this part of woocommerce would be huge for construction type of companies. Whether it’s cabinets, electric, plumbing or another trade company a lot of times the contractor calls in to place an order and the retailer puts together an invoice for them. Fixing this would allow these type of companies to sell retail and to their contractors.
