They are not really seeing this as any of their issues as I am able to log in to the WordPress dashboard. It’s only while logged in and going into the menu to customise a theme that a new password prompt is coming up (“session expired, please log in again”).

    Hello,

I have manually re-uploaded all files now.
And the error is still present. (Except that it seems to be worse now as the blog is completely out displaying another error message while opening. “Fatal error: Call to undefined function has_term() in /mnt/weba/e0/75/52371575/htdocs/blog/wp-includes/post-formats.php on line 54”)

    Have you got any idea?
Should I try to completely re-install wordpress? I am not that firm with it, but is there a way to do this whilst not loosing all content?

Thanks a lot for an helping idea!

    Thanks for the reply.

    Deactivating the plugins didn’t work.
As I could not change the theme in the dashboard due to the password issue, I have tried doing that via FTP as you suggested (by renaming the child thus prompting WP to use the default child).
Still, once I go into the dashboard to customise the theme, I am prompted for a login/password and after entering I can briefly see a “you’ve logged in successfully” window before the password prompt comes again.
Even resetting the plugins folder didn’t help.

I will now do the manual upload as you suggested. I’ll keep you posted whether I succeed…

    Thanks so far.

PS: Is there a way to get rid of this dreadful gravatar without having to register somewhere to get yet even more spam?
