In reply to: Accidently removed comments section from theme. HELPDo you know exactly which file I need to find the code with the comments?
We would have no idea. YOU should know which file you removed the code from since you’re the one who did it. However, since there are no comments on the main page, I can safely assume you might start with the index.php of the theme.

In reply to: Accidently removed comments section from theme. HELPLike Altstatten said… open the original unedited version of the file you changed and then copy and paste whatever you removed back into your edited version.

In reply to: Unable to log in / access dashboardSounds like when you entered the keys in the config file it created whitespace. I bet you copied and pasted? Take those lines back out and then paste them in notepad and recopy just those lines back into the config file making sure don’t paste any empty lines.

In reply to: Pages are ALL down, except the index. HELPWhen you change the permalinks, it changes the .htaccess so when you deleted it, it messed things up. By resaving your permalink structure, it recreated the .htaccess file.
Your welcome 🙂

In reply to: Feel Screwed HereYou’re not very clear as to what you’re trying to accomplish.
I have my complete blog files from the blog I use.
What files?
But i started with media temple and started up a blog there, but it’s blank.
Blank as in you never wrote anything or blank as in you never successfully installed WordPress?
I can’t access the files from a browser of my old blog and i want to bring over the data.
Again — what files? You’re gonna have to give more details as to what you’re trying accomplish. If I were to try to guess, I’d guess you’re trying to move your blog to a new domain/host? If that’s the case, you need to backup your database and then follow the instructions here:
http://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress
However, if your site is blank what exactly is there to move? If there’s a preexisting problem you should fix that before you move the blog.

In reply to: how to split the wp-admin and wp-contentIf we do like this, then it has a high security, I’m correct?
Nope, I don’t believe it would make any difference as far as security goes and I’m not even sure it’s possible. Not unless you were to edit the core files big time which even then might not work and which would probably screw things up so bad nothing would work. You’re just gonna have to make your install as secure as possible and hope for the best like the rest of us.
