No, this did not help at all. Within the General Settings there is no option for “Directory and file exclusions for the malware scanner” as your instructions say. Also, the screenshot in the instructions does not match what my General Settings page looks like. I am sick of getting this warning of malware every day for something that has proven to be safe. I don’t want to pay more for soemthing I don’t need to deal with. Why does this keep getting flagged every day?
Hi,
That link just asks me to open a new post. Why not keep all the information here together?
I have shared what you’ve said in the support ticket with Big Scoots and now they are saying that I shouldn’t be using the Security by Cleantalk plug in at all. That even Cleantalk doesn’t recomment it. They say I should use some other 2FA plug-in, from Big Scoots, “Actually I am saying what Cleantalk also recommends and its to use the 2-FA method with an actual 2-FA generator, rather than using emails to get the code.” Can you comment on this?
I did just share your last comment with them asking them to check their logs.
Hi,
Okay, Big Scoots is the host of my website that I was trying to get into. I get my email from Gmail. Who is the problem? Big Scoots claimed everything was working as it should last night when this was happening. Is Gmail the problem here?
I talked to my host for over 2 hours last night before posting this. The problem is not with them. They did everything and verified that my IP address was whitelisted even though the system still kept me out.
The 2FA emails we not working on 11/5 from approximately 10 PM CST to midnight. I did get some emails with codes sent at 2 AM so they did finally send, just 4 hours too late. There was obviously an issue happening on your end last night.
I will try and access today. I hate to change my settings as it lets bad actors in more easily. I wouldn’t have had an issue at all if the 2FA codes were being sent as they should have been.
This same thing has happened to me. I tried to log into my website but Cleantalk did not send an email code. I retried a couple of times and now I am blacklisted. I have gone into my Cleantalk account and whitelisted my IP. I reached out to Big Scoots who got into eveyrthing and said I am whitelisted but I cannot log in. I have to complete deactive the CleanTalk Security plug-in on my website to be able to log in. Mine is theteachingbank.com
