In reply to: How do you make a page wider?Well, I managed to figure out, so, for future reference and an easy, simple way to fix this issue: http://wpmu.org/create-a-full-width-page-for-wordpress-in-5-simple-steps/
It’s very simple.
I hope this post will help someone in the future.
EDIT: @esmi, as I said, I had already tried but couldn’t figure out the source of the problem. I’d already tried. And when I went into Firebug? It was in no way more helpful than the developer tool I’d already used.

In reply to: How do you make a page wider?Tried that too, they’re exactly the same and, therefore, lead me no closer to an answer.

In reply to: Making Category Background CenteredFirebug doesn’t help me. I want help solving the CSS issue and Firebug just shows me where something is. But I will use the CSS-Discuss forum. Thank you.

In reply to: A Few Questions About CodeI’m lost… I can’t save in Firebug which is what would help me a lot. I cannot find the LOCATION of some of the code. If you use this and click on the white banner in the background, it says: “wordpress #3 line _____”
Where do I find this file?

In reply to: A Few Questions About CodeWell I seemed to make it work, miraculously. I guess fiddling around and guesswork is the way to go.
Does anyone have any straight-forward answers for the questions (while trying to work it out myself with Esmi’s method, any other suggestions would be good – don’t want to bet it all on one thing!).

In reply to: A Few Questions About CodeWell I didn’t go onto these forums because whenever I asked for an answer to one problem someone told me there was another problem.
How do I port over these changes? How do I fix the problems I actually wanted fixing?

In reply to: A Few Questions About CodeI had a very complex set up though, which different background for different categories! I also had a header and removed some space between the header and the menu bar. I won’t be able to replicate that because I just did it by guesswork!
When I said “etc” I MEANT “etc”.
