In reply to: [OceanWP] ‘blog’ in main menuShahin,
If I re-create the pages that are causing problems, everything seems to work. So I’ll just delete the ‘bad’ pages.
If you want to have closure with this issue (LOL), here’s the live link: https://montgomeryenterprisesinc.com/
In the menu, there’s an old page menu item ‘About’ , and a new page menu item ‘About Us’. If you click the first one, the menu changes and ‘Blog’ appears. The second link doesn’t have that problem. Something is obviously different about that page, but I don’t see it.
I’ll leave this menu item in place until tomorrow, then I’ll delete it, and mark this item resolved.
Thanks for your help! I learned a lot more about the system while working through your suggestions.
I appreciate it.

In reply to: [OceanWP] ‘blog’ in main menuHello Shahin,
Thank you so much for your response. Neither of those options worked for me (though I did learn some things I didn’t know before).
Here’s a more detailed explanation of the change I’m trying to make. (Basically we want to turn off the blog, at least temporarily).
The main page has this top menu section:

This matches my menu layout from the dashboard. ‘Blog’ does not appear. But if I click one of the menu options (‘About, ‘Investments’, etc.) the page appears, and the main menu changes to this:

And now ‘Blog’ has been inserted into the main menu. I would like that to NOT appear.
One other note: There’s an ‘Employees’ menu option that logs in/logs out website users. If a user is logged-in, the ‘Blog’ menu will NOT appear. But if they’re logged-out (like anyone who came across the site while surfing) then the ‘Blog’ menu option DOES appear.
Suggestions?
Russell

In reply to: [WP Docs] Site Health errorAdditional info:
I’ve tried this on several unrelated websites. The behavior is the same:
when WP DOCS is activated, the error(s) appear. when I deactivate the plugin, the error(s) go away. The websites all function normally, as far as the user is concerned.

In reply to: [WP Docs] Site Health errorSure, here’s a screen shot:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/d7nl3j3lmckkofg/wpdocs-site-health.jpg?dl=0
This is on a mostly-fresh install of WordPress. With standard plugins, which have ALL been deactivated.
These messages do not appear until I activate WP DOCS. The other plugins are all deactivated.
The host is Dreamhost. And I don’t dismiss the possibility that there’s a server-related problem.
Thanks!

In reply to: [WP Docs] Shortcode is disrupting themeI’ve installed it on another site, and it seems to work ok.
But not on the original site. I’ve deleted the plugin, and re-installed it, but all the previous settings are still there. What is the best way to completely clear out the plugin, and re-install? Is there a wp database section that needs to be cleared?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WP Docs] Shortcode is disrupting themeThat was quick! Thanks!
Should the checkbox remained “checked” if the feature is selected? I can click it, and the message says the option has been applied, but it doesn’t remain “checked” if I leave the screen. So, it doesn’t seem to be working as a toggle.

In reply to: [WP Docs] Shortcode is disrupting themeThanks Fahad! I will watch future updates for an option to disable bootstrap, should you decide to do that.
Best Regards.
