In reply to: [SportsPress - Sports Club & League Manager] Team featured images@killymangac There is a way around this, by using the “Site URL” feature for teams.
1. Edit the team and make sure that their logo is selected as the featured image. Then, delete the entire profile section (but save it in your clipboard first). Update the team.
2. Now, create a new page and add the profile text as the main content. Add a feature image (team photo) and Publish. Click “View page”, then copy the URL into your clipboard.
3. Go back to edit the team (from step 1) and paste in the URL from step 2 into the “Site URL” field. This will make it so that all links to the team will be redirected to the 2nd page.
4. Now, edit your player list (if you have one already) and copy the “Shortcode” into your clipboard.
5. Go back to the page (from step 2) and paste that shortcode into the content. You can add any other shortcodes here as needed, like league tables and event calendars.
6. Update the page, and now you should be able to see the team logo everywhere, but when you click on it you’ll see the new page with your player list and team photo.
Hope this helps! Feel free to let me know if you’d like me to clarify any of the above steps.

In reply to: [SportsPress - Sports Club & League Manager] Event, team and player stats1. The events played (“Nb partie”) is the sum of all events that player attended where a) Status is “Starting Lineup” or b) Status is “Substitute” and a substitution was made. If no substitute is selected, then that event will not count towards the player’s total events. Also, the event will only count if there is an “Outcome” selected for that player’s team, and the event date has passed.
2. I’m not sure why this is happening, but it looks like the plugin isn’t active on that site anymore. A possible reason would be that they are both added to an event (in the future) and when the day switches, the event counts toward events played?
Hi Peter,
Thanks for your question. You are correct, SportsPress requires one sport to be selected per site.
However, the plugin has been tested for multisite, so you could easily create separate sites within one install by creating a network. See: http://codex.wordpress.org/Create_A_Network

In reply to: [SportsPress - Sports Club & League Manager] Time/ResultThanks for the update. Glad to hear you found the solution 🙂
For others interested or also having this issue, there is a “Primary” column in SportsPress > Settings > Configure > Team Results table. The radio button is automatically set to “Default” which will use the highest order (bottom most) result as the main result when displaying in calendars. Selecting a specific row will force that result to become the primary result.
Marking this topic as resolved. Thanks again, @killymangac!

In reply to: [SportsPress - Sports Club & League Manager] Team Statistic@jacegoh Thanks for clarifying. That makes sense. Although the current version of SportsPress only includes overall results and outcomes in league table equations, we’ll look into adding Total Performance as part of the equations in a future update.
I’ll let you know when this feature becomes available 🙂
Glad to hear it works now! Thank you for your detailed update. It helps us better understand and improve the plugin, so I appreciate your feedback 🙂
Player galleries use the default WP thumbnail settings. To change the thumbnail sizes, go to Dashboard > Settings > Media, and enter different numbers in the “Thumbnail size” section.
Please note that you will need to re-upload photos for this new image size to take effect.
Hope this helps 🙂

In reply to: [SportsPress - Sports Club & League Manager] Team/Player records@hockeyguy1925 Wondering if creating a child season would suffice for this. To create a child season, select the main season (example: 2014-15) as the “Parent” when adding a new season. That way, they will be grouped together but the statistics will be calculated separately.
Trades/drafts also sounds like an interesting feature. We’ll definitely consider adding these down the road as well.
We have been in talks about adding tabs or select boxes to switch between different sets of data in pages and widgets. The idea isn’t finalized yet but I’ll keep you posted 🙂

In reply to: [SportsPress - Sports Club & League Manager] Problem with importGreat. We’ll just need to add some columns to make it work for volleyball.
Please go to Tools > Import > SportsPress Events (CSV) and download the sample file.
Then, delete the last 4 columns (Goals, Assists, Yellow Cards, Red Cards) and add these 8 columns:
S, K, E, TA, A, B, DIG, PTS
Now you can add rows for each event. Please note that the Date column should be in the format yyyy/mm/dd or yyyy-mm-dd. Some apps will change this date format, so be sure to change it back before importing.
Let me know if you run into any issues.

In reply to: [SportsPress - Sports Club & League Manager] Suggestion@opopop Could you elaborate on the proposed options? By World Cup and Money Matches, do you mean a tournaments/betting feature?

In reply to: [SportsPress - Sports Club & League Manager] Team Statistic@jacegoh Thanks for your question. Team Results are separate from Player Performance, so you’d need to create a copy of each player performance as a team result if you wish to keep track of each one. This can be done via SportsPress > Settings > Configure > Team Results > Add New.
We’ll definitely look into adding player performance to team results in a future update, which would make this much easier. I’ll let you know when this has been added 🙂
@nissennetz Looks like Google Maps is being loaded twice. It might be in another plugin or in your theme. Could you send me a list of plugins installed or paste the output from SportsPress > System Status using the “code” button?

In reply to: [SportsPress - Sports Club & League Manager] Problem with import@guifred I’d be happy to help you with the CSV importer. Are you using default Volleyball settings, or have you made any changes via SportsPress > Settings > Configure?
