Please do not customize or edit code in direct theme package, for this please create a child theme and customization your work in child theme..

For install demo data, first of install one-click-demo importer plugin,

then go Newsup free theme details page and download demo data file,

you can also follow this link: http://prntscr.com/rxrfol,

then extract demo-data file and go to Import Demo data link,

you can also following link: http://prntscr.com/rxrk5p,then Upload XML, Wie (Widget ) , Dat file , you can also following link: http://prntscr.com/rxrl9v ,

then wait for installation demo data, after complete demo data then check your website.

If you need widgets in Homepage or using homepage template, then go to Reading settings and Assign a Homepage template as a home and blog blog page as a Post and save the settings.

Go to Widget (Theme Dashboard >> appearance >> widget ) and Use widget or drag on frontpage section widget.
