I found this for the theme ‘Piano Black’
to work lightbox correctly plese try this WP-Slimbox plugin.
WP-Slimbox2 (lightbox based on jQuery)

That did the trick, now you can select any template in ‘Piano Black’ and you can get the pop-up image viewer to work correctly.
