I think the Form Maker plug-in must do that automatically, because on the front end it shows as being contained in a box. As well as a number of other things it does automatically, such as generating the e-mail tags. So I may go that route instead, since building the Contact 7 form is a ponderous task – for me, anyway.

Thank you for that observation, ashiquzzman, but the problem is that on the 2nd site, the menu is not displaying properly when the window is resized as it is on the first site. It seems that on the 2nd site, the default view in a smaller window is to have the menu expanded, when the default should be to have the single bar show with “menu” (as it does on the first site), and the menu expands only when clicked.

Sorry, I wasn’t using the Today’s date widget, was trying to insert the shortcode in a text widget, which is why it didn’t work. But now, I need to know how to make the widget stop saying “Today’s Date”. I made the title “In Stock today,”, but that’s not showing in the sidebar but a bold title “Today’s Date” is showing.

Thanks for mentioning the Permalinks settings. I’d set them to “Post name”, and I think they were working earlier. Something must have glitched out, because I just went in and changed them back to Default, then back to Post name, and now they’re working.

It still says “Edit this post” under the page title. My other sites, when I’m logged in, there’s just a little button that says “Edit”, so maybe it’s just a difference in terminology between 4.3 and earlier versions.
