In reply to: [Lightning] Add text in top white bar next to logo?Oh yes! Much better, thanks!
Now just one more question (for now, anyway). I’m working on a FAQ page, where the questions are all at the top, with links to anchor points further down the page. When I create the anchor next to the heading that corresponds to the question up top, and click on the link in the list of questions, the page scrolls up too far and hides the question and the first line of the answer. This happens even if I’m logged out and the black admin bar is not present. Is there a solution for this?

In reply to: [Lightning] Add text in top white bar next to logo?Yes, I like that much better, Bojan. The only drawback I see is that now the menu items are pushed up really high in that white bar – almost up against the black bar at the top. Is there any way to nudge those back down a bit?

In reply to: [Lightning] Add text in top white bar next to logo?Hello Bojan, thanks for responding!
The testing site is here: http://nysbs.org/newsite/
I would like the words beside the title to look something like this photoshopped mockup – bold, blue, and placed at about the mid-point of the logo. I tried it a few placements, and I think this looks best. Is this possible?

TeqYes, I’ve tried turning on the Ajax Pagination, and without any improvement. Why is it that you suspect the carousel template won’t work? Thanks for the response!

In reply to: [Lightning] Add text in top white bar next to logo?Bojan, thank you for those instructions! I created the Child theme and was able to get the text and link I wanted in the footer, and to get the line of text to appear next to the logo in the top white bar.
At the moment the text next to the logo is sort of floating up near the top of the logo and looks a bit silly. I’d prefer to have it line up with the middle or bottom of the logo. How can I do that?
Also, on the inside pages, how do I prevent the line underneath the colored band with the title of the page – the one that has the “Home” symbol and link, and then repeats the name of the page you’re on – from appearing. I have my main menu on the top, and in the sidebar, so I think that line is redundant and clutters up the appearance of the page. Thanks!

In reply to: [Longevity] Remove title on pagesOh, thanks! That worked easily!
Done
I tried deactivating each of my plugins, especially those I thought might have a conflict, including NextGen Gallery and Slideshow by StefanBoonstra. It seemed to make no difference. I tried this on two other websites where I’m running the same child theme, with some of the same plugins – same result. On all of the websites, the navigation buttons are invisible on the lightbox.

http://www.carriage-house-inn.com/?page_id=1029No, that didn’t do the trick. I uninstalled the plugin, and re-installed, no difference. I then deleted all the sliders I had created, uninstalled the plugin again, then updated my core software from 4.2.2. to 4.2.3, then re-installed the plugin, created a new slider, and put the shortcode on the page at http://accutonepiano.com/responsive-lightbox-gallery-page-test/. The forward and back and exit navigation is contained in the thin horizontal bar at the bottom of the lightbox, but they can’t be seen – I’m assuming that’s because they are black on a black background but I’m not sure. I appreciate your help with this, because I really like this plugin and if we can get it working properly, I’d like to purchase the pro version!
weblizar, I download my child theme folder, zipped it, and uploaded it to a drop-box folder which I then shared with your e-mail address as found on the weblizar website. You’ll find the invitation to the file in your e-mail. Hope this helps.
Note: I removed the Lightbox slide show from the page linked to above, and put it on a page all by itself, just to be sure there wasn’t a conflict with the Ai1c event calendar on that page. It seems to make no difference. The navigation links are still black-on-black, and therefore not very user friendly.
