In reply to: 2 questions – New Install of WordPressI don’t understand number one, but for number two, I usually CHMOD it to 666 (:o). It is suggested to do so, I suppose it couldn’t hurt to do 777 either. But try 666. And you would want to CMHOD the files that you want to be able to edit via the admin panel.

What I mean is… change the file permissions to writable by chmod’ing it to 666. 666 will work and so will 744 or 755 I believe, not sure, I would use 666 if I were you
