I figured out that the mail client was not configured properly with my host. Apologies for the support request.
I have the same problem except my messages are not even showing up in spam. I think I must be missing something but I need help sorting that out, please.

I have and there were files discovered, which were removed. These particular files were not identifies as problems.
I hadn’t tried that tool so I just ran it and the results looked fine.
