  • I have a similar problem to Laptophobo. In short, I replaced my httpdocs (FTP FileZilla) with an earlier backed-up version. Now my Home page views but nothing else. I too receive an error message stating:

    Not Found
    The requested document was not found on this server.

    The strange thing is though that the home page does not correspond to the home page that belongs to the backed-up version.

    Does anybody have an idea what I can do to get the backed-up version working again? Thank you in advance!

    Althought that’s a lot of usefull info, I still don’t know what to do with the following:

    When the permissions to my WordPress folder, recursing into subdirectories, was 766, I could not even login into WordPress.

    Now that I’ve changed the permissions to 777, recursing into subdirectories, I can login again and edit the appearance of my theme. But this isn’t really safe is it?

    So what files do I change to what permissions in a manner that it is safe but that I can also login into WordPress and change the appearance of my theme.

    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for your reply. But where do I do this? This is from the css:

      div#header{margin:9em 0 7em;text-align:center;}
      div#header h1#blog-title{font-color:#000000;font-size:3em;line-height:133%;margin:0;font-weight:normal;}
      div#header div#blog-description{font-size:1.2em;line-height:133%;text-align:center;color:#000000}

    Here all the color entries are already black.

    But that changes ALL the links into black, and that’s not what I want. Homepage again.
